50th anniversary cake topper of the couple

Most 50th toppers for sale are gold lettering: the number 50 or Happy 50th Anniversary. Some shops sell ready-made resin figures of an older couple. These look the same for every couple. Some bakeries make the couple in marzipan.

A personalized figurine made from your parents' photos shows the two of them, with their own faces. It is not food, so it can stay as a keepsake on a shelf after the party. Planning it as a gift from the children? You upload the photos yourself, so your parents do not need to know.

Their wedding photo is likely a paper print. Lay it flat, out of direct light. A phone app such as Google PhotoScan removes the glare.

Without outfit photos, the figure wears the clothes from the recent photo. With their wedding photo, cropped once for each of them, it wears the gown and the suit from their wedding day. For an old-fashioned look, the Vintage Topper style looks like a 1940s chalkware cake topper.

Put the gold on the cake, with gold frosting or gold flowers. A 50th cake can also bring back the colors from their wedding.

If they still have the topper from their wedding, here is how to put it back on a cake.

1. 1. Upload the photos

   Put the recent photo in the middle. Add an outfit photo on each side, or leave the sides empty.

2. 2. Pick a style and a pose

   See them in each of the 7 styles before you choose. Keep the pose from the photo or pick one of 3 others.

3. 3. Check the 3D model

   We sculpt the 3D model and show it to you. If a face is off, ask for a new sculpt. Re-sculpts are free.

4. 4. Approve and pay

   You pay only after you approve the 3D model. Then we 3D print the figure and ship it.

Will the faces look as they do today, or as on their wedding day?

We build the figure from the recent photo of the two of them. The wedding photo is for the clothes. Check both faces on the 3D model before you approve.

Can it go straight on the cake?

No. It is not food-safe. Ask your baker for a clear acrylic disc to set it on.

Can the grandchildren be on it too?

No. We make toppers of two people.

How early should we order for the party?

Order at least 4 weeks before the party. The studio shows the delivery date before you pay.

Can you copy their original wedding topper?

No. We do not copy another maker's topper. We make the two of them from their photos, and their wedding photo can give the figure the clothes from that day.
