Indian wedding cake topper

Search for an Indian wedding cake topper and most results are stock toppers. Few show an Indian bride and groom, and fewer look like you. These are the kinds you will find:

• Stock figures. Some shops change the skin color or the outfit color for an extra charge.
• Handmade clay figures. Some makers say the face is a cartoon, not a portrait, and the pose cannot change.
• Flat toppers, such as a silhouette of the couple or your names.
• Sugar figures from a baker, with the lehenga pleats and the jewelry. They get eaten with the cake.

Many Indian brides wear a different outfit for each wedding event, from the sangeet to the reception. So which one goes on the figure? Pick the outfits you want to keep. If your cake is cut at the reception, your reception clothes may fit best.

The figure wears the clothes in your photo. Want other clothes? Add one outfit photo for each of you, on a hanger or worn. You can also mix, for example a lehenga for her and a tuxedo for him.

"Indian" covers many traditions. North Indian brides usually wear a lehenga, and grooms a sherwani. South Indian brides often wear a silk saree, and grooms a silk dhoti with a kurta.

At a Sikh wedding, the groom often wears a kurta with an achkan or a sherwani, and a turban. The bride wears a salwar kameez or a lehenga. Whatever your tradition, the figure wears what your photo shows.

Our upload page has 3 areas. The photo of the two of you goes in the middle, and we build your topper from it. The outfit photos go on the sides. Wedding photos are often crowded, so check these 4 things:

• Just the two of you.
• Both faces show. If the sehra covers his face, pick a photo where it is lifted.
• Head to toe, so the whole lehenga and sherwani show.
• Sharp and bright, with room around you. Zoom in too far and the outfits get cut off.

   We sculpt the 3D model and show it to you. You pay only after you approve it.

4. 4. We print and ship

   We 3D print the figure and ship it to you.

Turn the 3D model and hold it next to your photo. Check these details:

• Both faces, then the side view.
• Your skin tones and hair.
• Her lehenga or saree color and the dupatta.
• His sherwani and turban.

If something looks wrong, ask for a new sculpt. Re-sculpts are free until the likeness is right. Want the red and gold to show? Pick Full-Color, which prints the colors of your photo. Single-Color prints the whole figure in one color.

Will it show the embroidery and her jewelry?

It shows the main patterns and colors. Very fine thread work comes out simpler at topper size. Necklaces stay. Check the jewelry on the 3D model before you pay.

Can her dupatta stay over her head?

Yes, if you send it in her outfit photo. On the photo of the two of you, we take a veil off, and a dupatta over the head can count as one. In the outfit photo, we keep it.

Can the groom wear his turban or safa?

Yes. We keep turbans and other cultural head coverings. Check its color and shape on the 3D model.

Can it hold our varmala garlands?

The figure starts from your photo, garlands included. If you pick one of the other poses, something held in the hands can drop out. Check the 3D model before you approve.

Is it edible, like a baker's sugar figure?

No. It is not food-safe. Ask your baker for a clear acrylic disc to stand it on.
