Cake toppers
Wedding cake topper decor can be a figure or flowers, and much more. This page is about a figure of the two of you, and how it sits with the rest of the decor.
A glossy Origami print on our demo cake, on a glass stand, with candles and dried flowers behind.Idea lists for wedding cakes sort toppers into a few kinds. Most couples pick one, or mix two.
Couples on wedding forums split three ways. Some want only flowers, and say the flowers are the topper. Some want only a topper. Others use both.
One couple put a personal topper on top and a few flowers at the base of each tier.
A glossy Brick Figures print on our demo cake.Tell your baker about the topper from the start. One baker suggests winding the cake's flowers around the topper, so it becomes part of the design. Keep the flowers low or behind the figure, so nothing hides your faces.
We make the two of you on a round base, and nothing else. Want an arch or bells? Set them next to the figure, or on the cake table.
For fresh flowers near the figure, see how to pair a cake topper with fresh flowers.
We set our prints on a glazed cake on a glass stand. Candles in glass holders and dried flowers stood on the table behind the cake. Nothing stood in front of the figures.
Size matters too. A large topper can overwhelm a small cake, and a small one can get lost on a tall cake. Ask your baker how big the top tier will be.
Then pick the right cake topper size.
